About us
The School of Natural Sciences, at Bangor University, has an increasing international reputation for its research in optimising nutrient efficiency in agricultural systems, and in agricultural greenhouse gas emissions research, including quantification from different on-farm sources and development and testing of mitigation strategies. They also have expertise in carbon footprinting and Life Cycle Assessment approaches to assess the impacts of changes in farm management practices, as a result of responses to policy and industry drivers.
The School of Natural Sciences has strong links with CATIE, and has collaborated on research projects investigating tropical farm systems in Costa Rica. The successful applicant will join an existing team of experienced modellers and agricultural scientists, and will become part of an on going fruitful collaboration between Bangor University, Rothamsted Research and CATIE to provide new evidence on sustainable intensification pathways for tropical dairy farms.
